Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Senior Product Designer for its Cards & Credit team. You will own problems from framing to shipped experiences, turning complex systems into simple, intuitive products and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Brand to create cohesive experiences.

You’ll craft workflows, interactions, visuals, and prototypes across the design stack while maintaining a customer-centric focus and a passion for craft and clarity.

• Ability to understand complicated systems and turn them into simple, thoughtful product experiences.
• Curiosity about why a problem exists and willingness to question assumptions from first principles.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful Cards & Credit product problems from framing through shipped experience, partnering with Product and Engineering.
• Turn complex requirements and edge cases into simple, intuitive experiences.
• Work across framing, workflows, interactions, visual design, prototyping, and implementation.
• Explore broadly and design from first principles, challenging inherited patterns when better options exist.
• Bring high interaction and visual craft to the Cards & Credit experience, including typography, motion, and state.
• Collaborate with Mercury’s Brand team on physical cards and related products for cohesive experiences.
• Develop deep understanding of customers and clearly communicate reasoning and tradeoffs.
