Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of product design experience with consumer-scale impact.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-surface experiences.
• Experience leading end-to-end development with Cross Functional Partner (XFN) teams.
• Expertise in advanced prototyping techniques and emerging technologies.
• Comfort with data: you use metrics, research, and experimentation to inform and validate your design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver design projects across Instagram's product ecosystem.
• Turn broad, conceptual ideas into useful and valuable experiences for our 2 billion+ users.
• Design flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions into usable interfaces.
• Design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems.
• Innovate with AI to create new capabilities, improve personalization, or unlock new forms of value.
• Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Instagram products.
• Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team to raise quality and mentor others.
• Lead cross-functional partnerships with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience from conception to launch.
• Champion design craft and influence how others design.
