Job summary

Grindr is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own end-to-end design for core areas of the Grindr app, working with product, engineering, and data to ship features with strong craft. You will contribute to how we critique, provide feedback, and shape the design culture as a senior IC.

The role is hybrid, based in the San Francisco or Los Angeles offices, with in-person days. You’ll help evolve our evolving design system and push for product-led outcomes across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience as a senior IC at a consumer-focused tech company.
• Portfolio showing end-to-end ownership from problem framing to shipped solution with clear impact.
• Experience designing for consumer mobile apps on iOS and/or Android with complex interactions.
• Track record of shipping features end-to-end within tight timelines and with business impact.
• Strong communication to articulate rationale and align with product and engineering.
• Experience designing for monetization surfaces like paywalls, subscriptions, or upsell moments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design for core areas of the Grindr app from discovery to shipped features.
• Drive design decisions independently, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data.
• Raise the team’s craft through rigorous process and cross-functional communication.
• Collaborate with the Design Systems Specialist to evolve Grindr's design system.
• Contribute to Grindr's design culture as a senior IC and help define team critique and feedback.
