Job summary

Appsfactory GmbH in the United States is hiring a Senior Product Designer for AI and digital experiences. This permanent, full-time, remote-first role supports the US design team and is based in Southern California, with travel to US client sites as engagements require.

You will design AI-enabled products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, build design systems, and mentor others while exploring generative AI workflows and responsible use.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in product design or related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual craft, interaction design, and design systems.
• Advanced Figma proficiency with components, variables, prototyping, and design systems.
• Experience taking products from concept through implementation with product and engineering teams.
• Experience using generative AI in design processes.
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Figma AI, Cursor.
• Strong typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Comfortable working with US and European teams.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, engaging digital products, websites, applications, and services.
• Translate user needs, business goals, and technical requirements into usable experiences.
• Create journeys, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Develop and evolve design systems and visual languages with accessibility in mind.
• Collaborate with developers, participate in research, testing, and iteration.
• Integrate AI tools into research, ideation, prototyping, and production workflows.
• Prototype AI-enabled experiences, including conversational interfaces.
• Explore AI to solve real user problems with cross-functional teams.
• Share effective AI workflows and evaluate outputs for quality and privacy.
• Own assigned design workstreams from exploration through delivery.
• Contribute to workshops and client presentations, explaining design decisions.
• Mentor less-experienced designers and provide constructive feedback.
• Work independently in a low-ego, multidisciplinary environment.
