Job summary

Expedia’s Vrbo design team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to be onsite in West Hollywood, CA, shaping the end-to-end Vrbo Trips experience. You’ll drive the trip journey from planning through post-stay, translating the Vrbo brand into accessible product experiences on web and app.

You will partner with product, engineering, content, and research, using prototypes, analytics, and AI concepts to build shared conviction and guide design decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, UX, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in product design, user experience design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
• Portfolio that demonstrates shipped digital products with strong interaction and visual design, including the story behind the work: the problem, key trade-offs, and impact.
• Deep expertise in interaction or visual design, plus proven capability in prototyping, research, facilitation, information architecture, or content design.
• Experience designing complex products with product and engineering partners, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clarity and explain design rationale to engineers and senior leaders.
• Fluency with modern design and prototyping tools, and comfort working within an established design system while helping it evolve.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience designing shopping, discovery, marketplace, or travel experiences at scale.
• Experience designing collaborative or multi-user experiences where multiple people plan, share, or decide together.
• Hands-on prototyping experience with AI tools, including working directly with model outputs, building interactive concepts with large language models, or creating generative AI concepts.
• A track record of partnering with user research and using qualitative insights and behavioral data to guide and refine design direction.
