Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Product Designer for Vrbo Trips in Seattle to own end-to-end design from framing opportunities to launch. You’ll design the whole trip experience, ensuring users feel informed and in control across planning, pre-arrival, in-stay, and post-stay.

You’ll translate the Vrbo brand into distinctive, accessible experiences across web and app, shape strategy with cross-functional partners, and prototype with AI tools to explore new user-centric ideas grounded in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, or related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in product design, user experience design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
• Your portfolio shows shipped digital products with excellent interaction and visual design, and tells the story behind your work: the problem, the trade-offs you made, and the impact.
• Deep expertise in interaction or visual design, plus proven skill in complementary areas such as prototyping, research, facilitation, information architecture, or content design.
• You've designed complex experiences with product and engineering partners, and you can turn ambiguity into clarity and explain your design rationale to audiences from engineers to senior leaders.
• Fluent in modern design and prototyping tools, and you can work within an established design system while helping it evolve.

Responsibilities

• Raise the bar on craft across the team through critiques, design reviews, and mentoring, and champion accessibility and inclusion in everything you ship.

The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. In this role, you will:

• Experience designing shopping, discovery, marketplace, or travel experiences at scale.
• Experience designing collaborative or multi-user experiences, where several people plan, share, or decide together.
• Hands-on experience prototyping with AI tools, working directly with model outputs, or building interactive concepts with large language models or generative AI.
• A track record of partnering with user research and using qualitative insights and behavioral data to guide and refine design direction.

The total cash range for this position in Beverly Hills is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $161,000.00 to $225,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $257,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.The total cash range for this position in Austin is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00.
