Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Design to lead Admin and Platform design systems, directing a high-caliber team across systems, product, and prototyping. You will shape the design strategy, governance, and AI tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining excellence in user experiences.

You will partner with Product and Engineering, influence executives, and scale Harvey’s design practices in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in Product Design, with 5+ years directly managing product designers.
• Experience owning a design system at real scale, including adoption.
• Experience designing and shipping AI-powered or highly technical products.
• A strong portfolio showing leadership of complex products from concept through launch, with clear impact on users and the business.
• Fluency with AI tooling in your own practice, and a real opinion about how it changes design work.
• Proven experience leading design strategy and execution alongside Product and Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to define and ship high-quality experiences in complex, ambiguous problem spaces.
• Excellent judgment about when to go deep, when to delegate, and when to push.

Responsibilities

• Own Admin as a product: drive strategy and execution for the Admin platform with Product and Engineering, rooted in how champions run Harvey.
• Work with customers, research, and usage data to fix bottlenecks in workflow configuration, knowledge management, and visibility experiences.
• Tie roadmap to customer outcomes: faster rollout, wider adoption, ROI for leaders.
• Own the system, not the service: define Harvey’s design system as patterns product teams inherit and implement.
• Set the craft bar across interaction, systems thinking, content design, and visual execution.
• Build a governance model to move fast without fragmentation with clear contribution paths.
• Own AI tooling for the design org: decide tools we adopt or build, shape the workflow from problem to prototype.
• Build and lead the team: grow a high-craft IC team across systems, product, and prototyping; manage org design and resourcing.
• Lead across the org: partner with leaders to evolve design practices and represent Platform in executive discussions.
