Ro in New York is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead design systems and elevate patient experiences. You will partner with Design, Product, Engineering, Growth, and Marketing to define the system and craft high-quality patient journeys.

You will mentor Senior and Staff designers, champion a cohesive design language, and drive AI-assisted design and development across teams. Compensation reflects senior leadership and impact.

Qualifications

• Exceptional visual and interaction craft
• 10 years of experience designing and shipping high-impact digital products across web and mobile
• The ability to operate as both a systems thinker and hands-on maker
• Experience building, evolving, or driving adoption of design systems at scale
• Strong conceptual thinking and creative-direction skills
• Experience designing consumer-facing experiences where brand, storytelling, growth, and conversion matter
• Demonstrated Principal-level leadership and influence

Responsibilities

• Raise the design quality across Ro by leading through direct contribution
• Lead the evolution of Ro’s Design System and its adoption
• Shape how Design Systems enable AI-assisted product development
• Bring creative direction to Vertical Growth across teams
• Turn creative exploration into reusable patterns and org-wide leverage
• Lead hardest design problems from ambiguity through execution
• Elevate the broader Product Design org through mentoring and critique
• Partner with Design leadership on the future of the patient experience
