Job summary

Stoughton is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own product lines and guide options from design through production. You will keep drawings up-to-date and work with our trailer configurator tools, while leading ECR processes for assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Licenses/Certifications: GD+T - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Product Line Ownership – Manages product line options and keeps drawings up-to-date
• Order Release Team Support - Engineering options and defining bill of materials to complete customer orders on time
• Manufacturing Support – Support all production lines, lead prototype builds and improve processes
• Leads the project definition, planning, and approval of identified projects demonstrating feasibility considering cost, requirements, time and other factors
• Serve as project leadership for several medium to large product development projects and oversee multiple projects
• Collect cross-functional voice of customer to establish product specifications and performance requirements
• Conceptual design – Lead development of functional designs with stakeholder feedback
• Mentor team members in complex engineering systems or processes
• Analysis – Intermediate to Advanced capability in structural mechanics and FEA to ensure integrity and compliance
• Sales/Quote Information – Generate materials list for estimating purposes and provide technical info to sales/marketing
• Vendor Interaction – Evaluate components and inspect quality for compliance
• Safety and policy adherence in all tasks
