Job summary

Productive Resources LLC seeks an experienced engineer to join our team at the customer facility in Stoughton, WI. You will support manufacturing processes, equipment and new product introductions, driving continuous improvement and coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement automation solutions.

The role requires hands-on design, programming, and implementation of automation, with a focus on maximizing production performance and safety.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years industrial experience.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and robotic programming.
• Understanding of machine tool operations.
• Machine tool building principles and OSHA/safety knowledge.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, DraftSight, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for plant production by responding to line disruptions in a multi-plant operation.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflows, space requirements and equipment layouts.
• Design and build custom equipment, tooling, and fixtures involving automation (PLCs, HMIs, robotics, safety systems).
• Provide PLC, HMI, and robotic programming support for all plants.
• Coordinate with vendors on specifications and procurement of equipment and parts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and product engineers to optimize production methods.
• Manage projects through planning, development, and implementation.
• Promote manufacturing consistency across the organization.
• Conduct production time studies as needed.

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Stoughton, WI. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will effectively support the manufacturing process, manufacturing equipment and new product introduction for all plants. This includes the conception and development of solutions for daily interruptions, continuous process improvement and the coordination with cross functional teams for the implementation of various types of equipment including automation equipment and procedures to maximize production performance

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

• Provide technical support for plant production by responding to line disruptions and issues in a multi-plant operation.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflows, space requirements and equipment layouts.
• Design and build custom equipment, tooling, and fixtures requiring automation through PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and safety systems.
• Provide PLC, HMI, and robotic programming support for all plants.
• Work with vendors on specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, or parts.
• Confer with other manufacturing engineers and product engineering concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Manage all projects through planning, development, and implementation.
• Collaborate with other manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturing consistency across the corporation.
• Conduct production time studies as needed.
• Work and communicate in a team environment.
• Other duties may be assigned as required by the company.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years industrial experience.
• Knowledge of and training in PLC, HMI, and robotic programming.
• Understanding of Machine tool operations.
• Machine tool building principles and practices, including OSHA & safety.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Proficient in the use of SolidWorks, DraftSight, and MS Office.
• Core Competencies: Creativity, Analytical, Practical.
• Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Beijer, and Motoman preferred.
• Panasonic and ABB desirable.
