Apollo.io in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to shape product strategy through data. You will translate business questions into analyses, partner with product managers and engineers, and build scalable analytics infrastructure.

The role emphasizes turning insights into product impact and fostering a data-driven culture across teams. A strong background in cohort/time-series analysis and ML is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related analytical field.
• Deep experience with cohorting, time series analysis, and funnel analysis/optimization.
• Proficiency in influencing product strategy with SQL, A/B testing, machine learning, statistical analysis, and tools like R, Python, SAS.
• Experience with SaaS (Product-Led Growth) companies and activation metrics.
• Familiarity with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Heap, Mixpanel) for end-to-end journey analysis.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into data analyses and actionable insights to optimize product performance and user experience for existing and new products.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify critical questions and provide data-driven solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable analytics infrastructure to support product decisions.
• Establish and maintain best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that land tangible product impact.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement within product teams.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy of analyses and reports.
• Support 0 to 1 product launches by identifying key metrics and analyzing early-stage data when applicable.
