Job summary

Waymo is looking for an experienced individual to join its Product Data Science team to analyze and extract insights from large data sources essential for the self-driving vehicle program. This hybrid role requires strong analytical and coding skills, particularly in SQL, to design data pipelines and reports that support operational efficiency and product performance.

The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of technical experience, with a strong focus on data intuition and stakeholder management. A background in the Autonomous Vehicle industry is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a related technical field with a strong track record.
• Ability to scope and solve ambiguous problems with analysis plans.
• Strong intuition and statistical knowledge to translate data signals into insights.
• Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using SQL.

Responsibilities

• Mine and analyze data to extract insights for driving scenarios.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify performance metrics.
• Design and implement data pipelines and reporting.
• Develop understanding of metrics and datasets for vehicle releases.
• Organize signals that capture targeted driving behaviors.
