Job summary

The Waymo Driver Product Data Science team is seeking a data scientist to develop models and measurement frameworks that guide infrastructure decisions and improve operational efficiency. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to interpret model results for Waymo's autonomous ride-hail platform.

This hybrid role, based in the United States, offers a base salary in the range of $230,000–$284,000 with eligibility for discretionary bonuses, equity incentives, and

Qualifications

• Solid background and applied work experience in operations research, optimization, or supply chain.
• Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Operations Research, Optimization, Supply Chain, or related discipline)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data science models to help make data-driven infrastructure decisions
• Design and implement quantitative measurement frameworks to assess efficiency of the infrastructure footprint and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Supply Operations to ensure relevant business and product context is considered alongside model output to make the best decisions for Waymo
