Job summary

BD is seeking a Senior Product Cyber Security Engineer to own cybersecurity deliverables end to end for assigned products, including threat modeling, SBOM generation, and regulatory documentation. You will collaborate across R&D, DevOps, Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure secure releases.

This role is remote within the United States with regular overlap with Pacific time; you will read code, work in build pipelines, and defend risk assessments in front of auditors and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, product or application security, or cybersecurity engineering, including hands-on security work on software products that shipped to customers.
• Basic software engineering fluency: read/write code, comfortable with command line, build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with threat modeling (STRIDE or similar), vulnerability assessment, CVSS scoring and risk acceptance.
• Experience with static analysis and software composition analysis tools and SBOM formats (CycloneDX or SPDX).
• Experience producing formal security deliverables that have been reviewed in audits or regulatory submissions.
• Strong written communication in English for auditors, regulators and customers.
• Ability to run multiple product workstreams in parallel in a procedural environment, with automation focus.

Responsibilities

• Own the cybersecurity deliverables for one product release end to end, from plan to risk summary report.
• Lead threat modeling sessions with product teams and document risk results.
• Coordinate SBOM generation and vulnerability management to support regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate penetration tests and track remediation with R&D and suppliers.
• Build automated security documentation and contribute to policy updates.
