Job summary

Bloom Energy in San Jose, CA is seeking a Principal Engineer, Product Compliance to lead certification efforts for SOFC systems. This on-site role reports to the Director of Development Engineering.

You will specify domestic and international certification requirements, coordinate agency projects with UL/IEC/ANSI, and work with supply chain and engineering teams to close findings on time while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of compliance engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with UL, NRTL and international certification processes.
• Strong communication and multi-project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Specify certification requirements for SOFC systems domestically and internationally.
• Specify certification requirements for electrical and mechanical components.
• Coordinate agency compliance projects (UL 1741, IEC 62282, ANSI/CSA FC1).
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering on installation compliance.
• Engage with utilities and authorities to negotiate market acceptance.
• Prepare agency documentation and maintain decision library.
