Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Architect to lead end-to-end design for innovative security products. You will shape the architecture, align requirements with scalable, secure systems, and collaborate across teams to realize product goals.

You will influence non-functional aspects like security and availability, guiding engineers and sharing security domain expertise while contributing to a technical roadmap. Experience with large distributed web-scale systems is essential.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant software experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or its equivalent.
• Experience designing large-scale, low-latency, web-based distributed systems.
• Knowledge of big data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and/or the appropriate use of AI in software solutions.
• End-to-end vision and strong understanding of SDLC and web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with product management to understand and finalize the requirements so they fit our technology and bring value to our customers
• Defining the end-to-end architecture and the set of functionality required in new or existing products and systems to realize the requirements
• Collaborating with other organizations to realize the non functional needs such as security, availability, and scalability
• Presenting the designs for review
• Guiding the engineering teams as they work on the detailed designs and implementation
• Acquiring and sharing expertise in security products and industry while contributing to their future vision and technical roadmap
