You will collaborate across product, engineering and security to deliver automated, scalable solutions that power Akamai’s global network. The role emphasizes architectural leadership, security design, and the ability to operate in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in distributed system design and implementation
• Solid experience in designing scalable, reliable and secure solutions
• Experience presenting architectural designs and security visions to cross-functional teams
• Experience with software development life cycle in Unix/Linux environments

Responsibilities

• Work with product management and engineering to describe and design solutions aligned with strategy
• Present and support architectural designs and technical visions to internal teams
• Define and implement standards for system design, testing and quality assurance
• Design reliable, high-quality, usable software for scalable and highly available systems
• Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation
