Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. in Cambridge, MA, seeks an Architect to drive innovative solutions for a suite of platform components and services powering Akamai product offerings.

You will create end-to-end architectural designs focusing on availability, reliability, performance, security, and scalability. Collaborate with development teams to implement designs, build consensus on architectural decisions, and design deployment, database, and platform security solutions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus four (4) years of experience in the Job offered or closely related technical role.
• Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields plus six (6) years of experience in the Job offered or closely related technical role.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovative solutions for a suite of platform components and services powering Akamai product offerings.
• Create end-to-end architectural designs focusing on availability, reliability, performance, security and scalability.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement designs and build consensus around architectural decisions.
• Design solutions for software and configuration deployments, database, control plane, and platform security.
• Prototype new product ideas and concepts; lead AI solution implementations for chatbots and knowledge bases.
• Lead full product lifecycle from conceptualization to delivery in agile environments.
