Job summary

Toyota Motor Credit Corporation is seeking a Sr. Analyst to support the VPP Product Accounting team, delivering accurate US GAAP financial results.

You will provide financial insights, partner with Reinsurance, FP&A, and Product Operations, and contribute to improving analytics and processes. Reporting to the VPP Product Accounting Manager, you will drive month-end closes, ensure audit readiness, and mentor teammates while advancing technical accounting proficiency within a highly collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles in a similar field or industry.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Experience working with SAP or similar ERP applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong working knowledge of MS Excel using pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Power Query is desirable but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively partner with various departments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end closing activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Evaluate the reasonableness of financial information provided by business partners and independently research fluctuations to resolve issues quickly.
• Prepare and review supporting schedules for internal and external audits, ensuring we meet all regulatory and tax reporting deadlines with confidence.
• Propose and implement improvements to existing analyses and leverage advanced technology to streamline accounting policies and procedures.
• Act as a subject matter expert and lead representative, partnering with departments like Reinsurance, FP&A, and Product Operations to support company-wide initiatives.
• Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of development and technical accounting proficiency.
