Job summary

Unknown Worlds is seeking a senior producer to lead end-to-end production for the Subnautica franchise in a fully remote role. Collaborate with creative, technical and production leadership to turn the vision into actionable plans and roadmaps.

You will manage milestones, risks, and dependencies, coordinate cross-disciplinary work, and mentor teams while maintaining strong relationships with partners and publishers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game development experience in production or project management.
• Experience shipping 3+ PC/console games in a senior production/leadership role.
• Experience vetting external partners including milestone setting, risk tracking, and SOW work.
• Deep understanding of project management methodologies and game development processes.
• Excellent judgment and ability to perform in high-pressure situations.
• Strong desire to coach and grow contributors and teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage internal and external relationships.
• Ability to lead and empower teams toward shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production for one or more game projects, features, or development teams.
• Partner with creative, technical and production leadership to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Establish and maintain roadmaps, milestones, schedules, dependencies, and priorities; review milestones for external projects.
• Coordinate work across disciplines and ensure teams have required information and resources.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks before they impact delivery or release dates.
• Provide concise reporting on progress, risks, and key decisions.
• Identify and vet co-development partners for specific project engagements.
• Manage key relationships with development partners and publishers.
• Coach and mentor individuals to set expectations and address improvements.
