Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Sr Manager, Sourcing Produce to create and oversee fruit and vegetable contracts, and drive the launch to the field and assortment strategy across assigned categories.

The role partners with internal Sysco teams and sales to ensure customer service excellence, leveraging insights and the PGM process to align objectives with Sysco’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 years Food Service or Retail Produce purchasing experience.
• Proven ability to manage contracts and supplier relationships.
• Experience with produce pricing and inventory planning.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and research leads within assigned category.
• Develop the Produce Proposal Agreement and associated program files.
• Coordinate with operating companies for input and approval.
• Present Produce Proposal Agreements to prospects and distribute signed agreements.
• Administer Produce Agreements and oversee customer program procedures.
• Organize orientations with regional operations personnel and servicing companies.
• Coordinate in-service education to ensure proper product ordering and handling.
