Job summary

Albertsons Companies seeks a Senior Manager of Produce Quality Control to lead the enterprise quality program across its distribution network. You will establish standards for freshness, food safety, temperature, size, and overall customer readiness, partnering with DC leadership, procurement, and suppliers.

You will develop QC processes, coach local teams, and drive continuous improvement to ensure consistent quality and exceptional customer experience across all facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in produce or related field.
• Progressive leadership in the produce industry.
• Experience overseeing QA in large-scale distribution.
• Knowledge of GAP, GMP, HACCP, FSMA and cold chain requirements.
• Travel 40-50%.
• Strong analytical skills with quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise produce quality standards across distribution centers.
• Oversee receiving quality to ensure freshness, temperature, maturity, size, and shelf life.
• Develop standard quality inspection processes, scorecards, reports, and audits.
• Ensure enterprise quality standards are executed across all facilities and operations.
• Lead investigations into quality failures and drive corrective actions with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, extend shelf life, and improve customer satisfaction.
