Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Sr. Manager, Produce Quality Control to lead the enterprise QC function across its distribution network.

You will establish standards, oversee receiving quality, and drive improvements with cross-functional partners to ensure fresh, safe, and high-quality produce reaching customers. You will collaborate with Distribution Center leadership, Procurement, Transportation, Food Safety, Merchandising, and suppliers to implement consistent quality programs and coaching

Qualifications

• Significant progressive leadership experience in the produce industry.
• Extensive experience overseeing quality assurance in large-scale distribution or supply chain environments.
• Strong knowledge of produce commodities, grading, shelf life, and safety requirements.
• Experience leading quality programs across multiple facilities or regions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise produce quality standards and receiving specs across distribution centers.
• Oversee receiving quality to ensure freshness, appearance, temperature, maturity, sizing, and safety.
• Develop standardized quality inspection processes, scorecards, reporting and audits.
• Partner with DC leadership to ensure execution of quality standards across facilities.
• Lead investigations into quality failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, extend shelf life, and improve customer satisfaction.
