Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years purchasing in retail, wholesale, or distribution; 2 years produce-related FOB purchasing.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively over the phone and negotiate with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Determine daily needs and maintain inventory levels.
• Order loads and build trucks for loading.
• Manage troubled loads, protections, credits, shrink.
• Participate in weekly pricing meetings.
• Procurement representative for weekly operational meetings.
• Serve as liaison between sales staff and procurement department.
