Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Stratford, CT is seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer (PQE) to lead strategic supplier-quality projects, drive issue resolution, and partner with shop floor teams to improve producibility, quality and cost across programs.

You will apply AS9100 requirements, provide technical liaison support, use CATIA for model reviews, and drive root-cause corrective actions while coordinating supplier transitions and ongoing performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with quality or manufacturing engineering processes, policies and quality management system requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry/line of business specifications.
• Willingness/ability to travel to support program issues/needs as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic projects for supplier quality, including SARP rollout, supplier surveillance, MBD/RDD supplier projects and others.
• Work with blades and/or avionics product center / area production QMs and QEs to resolve supplier issues, perform RCCA and identify improvement opportunities.
• POC for assigned suppliers, coordinating with shop floor and supply chain to manage daily and long-term supplier quality activities.
• Monitor supplier performance using metrics and provide technical liaison support.
• Monitor supplier recovery action plans and identify potential gaps.
• Ensure AS9100/A SQD alignment and drive corrective actions for defects and first articles.
