Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Procurement Manager in Chicago to lead procurement strategy for distributed solar and solar-plus-storage projects. You will forecast needs, source long-lead materials, negotiate agreements, and allocate equipment across multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

You will manage a logistics professional and a storage system advisor, coordinating vendors, transportation, storage, and compliance. A hybrid work policy is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, logistics, or contract administration.
• Experience with EPC project delivery and renewable energy supply chains preferred.
• Ability to lead negotiations and procurement planning independently in a dynamic market.
• Strong vendor relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of supplier qualification, contract administration, and logistics coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing regulations, pricing, and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and commercial negotiations for long-lead equipment and services (PV modules, inverters, BESS).
• Develop procurement strategies aligning equipment availability with project budgets and engineering requirements.
• Build supplier relationships, competitive bidding, contract management, and risk mitigation programs.
