Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is hiring a Specialist, Procurement (Remote) to plan and execute procurement for raw materials, goods, and services, analyzing data to support sourcing decisions and ensuring timely acquisition aligned with quality, cost, and schedule. The role may lead project-specific procurement efforts and guide others.

The position requires collaboration with program management, engineering, operations, quality, and finance, with travel up to 10% and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with 2+ years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities for raw materials, goods, and services in support of business and program needs.
• Compile and analyze pricing, spend, and supplier performance data to support sourcing strategies and establish price objectives.
• Solicit supplier quotations, review bids and proposals, and make source selection recommendations or award decisions as authorized.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, requests for proposals (RFPs), and bid packages as required.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and other contractual requirements with suppliers.
• Manage purchase orders from award through completion, including follow-up to ensure on-time delivery and fulfillment of requirements.
• Resolve supplier issues involving damaged goods, rejected materials, shortages, over-shipments, cancellations, returns, claims, and engineering changes.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reporting in applicable systems.
• Partner with internal stakeholders including program management, engineering, operations, quality, and finance to support procurement needs and resolve issues.
• Provide guidance, coaching, or training to less experienced employees as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, regulations, and company procurement policies and procedures.
• Occasional travel may be required up to 10%.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
