Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Procurement to manage strategic supplier alliances and conduct negotiations to optimize costs and delivery performance. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with company terms and driving efficient order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include creating PO packages, supplier performance assessments, and maintaining documentation per FAR. A U.S. citizen with a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree and ERP purchasing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree plus 2+ years of experience; or Graduate Degree with 1+ year experience; in lieu of a degree, 4 years of related experience.
• 2+ years purchasing in an ERP/MRP driven manufacturing environment.
• Negotiation experience.
• Contract experience, including terms and conditions knowledge.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Understanding and working knowledge of engineering documentation and product configuration.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Procure and manage assigned commodities to enable production, including PO issuance and maintenance, engineering changes, costing, and cost analysis.
• Create PO packages with required documentation (Price Analysis, Justification Worksheet, PPV, etc.).
• Lead supplier negotiations and supplier selection processes.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities and material cost control.
• Manage supplier relationships and support supplier-base strategy development.
• Resolve supplier-base issues (non-conformances, invoicing, delivery terms, service levels).
• Support marketing requests by running price models for project costs.
• Provide guidance on key events affecting supply chain and business plans.
• Seek new suppliers and processes to keep the company informed of developments.
• Maintain documentation control in compliance with FAR and company policies.
