Job summary

Forsyth County is seeking a senior procurement professional to independently manage complex, high-value procurement projects from planning through closeout. You will guide departments on strategy, timelines, and best practices, and lead competitive solicitations and negotiations while ensuring fair, transparent, and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five years' experience in contract administration, purchasing, procurement, and PC operations.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages complex, high-value procurement projects end-to-end.
• Advises departments on procurement strategy, timelines, and compliance.
• Develops and administers competitive solicitations (IFB, RFP, RFQ).
• Leads negotiations and contract development with vendors and contractors.
• Ensures procurements are fair, competitive, transparent, and compliant.
