Job summary

Teledyne seeks a procurement professional to oversee material sourcing, negotiation, and inventory control supporting production schedules. You will coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Planning to maintain delivery performance and supplier quality. A strong background in MRP/ERP systems and Excel is required, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Professional certifications in APICS are preferred, and you will manage multiple projects while optimizing inventory and supplier performance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years related experience.
Experience with MRP planning and ERP systems.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Engineering and QA to ensure material standards are met and non-conformances are minimized.
Control inventory levels to minimize dollars and maximize resources.
Plan and execute purchase orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure parts are tested and qualified if required.
Coordinate with Planning/Production to maintain accurate delivery schedules.
Maintain flow of communication with suppliers to resolve delivery issues; inform ECOs and ensure implementation.
Evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources for cost, reliability or schedule advantages.
Maintain inventory at planned levels using JIT, EOQ, and Safety Stock; apply commodity knowledge.
