Job summary

Teledyne FLIR in Goleta, CA seeks an experienced procurement professional to plan, schedule, and manage material flow for production cycles. You will negotiate with suppliers, monitor subcontracts, and resolve discrepancies to ensure on-time delivery and best value.

The role requires 8+ years in purchasing, strong SAP/MRP skills, and familiarity with JIT and ISO 9001 practices. A high attention to detail and collaboration with multiple internal teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with business emphasis.
• 8+ years procurement experience in high-tech electronics.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook & MRP databases.
• Knowledge of Purchasing, Planning and Scheduling processes.
• Knowledge of JIT manufacturing & MRP systems (SAP).
• ISO 9001 awareness; APICS/NAPM preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; international sourcing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor movement of materials through production.
• Negotiate with suppliers for cost savings and manage subcontracts.
• Enter data accurately and expedite critical deliveries.
• Coordinate with Receiving, Accounting, and QA on discrepancies.
• Support kanban, cycle counts, and material disposition in SAP.
