Your Next Opportunity:

The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for planning, forecasting, logistics, purchasing, and releasing of commodity construction materials, electrical equipment, lighting, and supplies as assigned. The Senior Procurement Specialist provides leadership, training, and management as assigned.

What You'll Do:
  1. Prepare and distribute complex and technical bid invitations or requests for proposal, including logistics, warehousing, kitting, and cutting and packaging requirements; receive, analyze, and recommend approval of bids most advantageous to Rosendin.
  2. Process difficult and unique purchasing transactions according to state laws, federal statutes, policies, and procedures established by Rosendin.
  3. Assist departments with specification development, draft RFPs.
  4. Review, analyze, and approve all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed. Review, analyze, research, and approve purchases of a non-competitive nature.
  5. Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of deficiency and take corrective action.
  6. Plan all aspects of purchasing from project award to closeout.
  7. Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with suppliers and professional service providers.
  8. Oversee execution of the purchasing buy-out.
  9. Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
  10. Collaborate with estimating management, design professionals, and site management.
  11. Provide feedback to assist in analyzing market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
  12. Enforce procurement policies and procedures to project team.
  13. Support projections, financial planning, expediting, delivery schedules, and project purchasing reporting.
  14. Develop and review all procurement analytics, reporting, and deliverables.
  15. Supervise buyers/expeditors when necessary.
  16. Other duties as assigned based on the business unit's needs.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
  1. Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
  2. Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; supervisory skills required.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Oracle experience is a plus.
  6. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities.
  7. Work under time pressure with a positive attitude.
  8. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  9. Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.
  10. Effective interaction with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
What You Bring to Us:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 5 years of electrical construction purchasing experience.
  3. Combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Working Conditions:

Indoor environment with varying conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally. Noise levels vary from low to loud on job sites. Rosendin complies with ADA and applicable laws, providing reasonable accommodations as needed.
