Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a seasoned procurement program professional to lead end-to-end procurement for aerospace initiatives. You will plan, source, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, coordinating with engineering, quality, and finance teams to meet program objectives.

You will drive cost savings, implement automation, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with AS9100-like processes and export control requirements. This fixed-term role supports Blue Origin Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years leading complex procurement programs in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to meet procurement requirements.
• Strong supplier management: RFPs, SOWs, negotiations, contracts.
• Experience with mission-critical manufacturing or launch operations.
• Understanding of contract types and subcontract management best practices.
• Proficiency with Costpoint, Coupa, SAP, MS Project, and Excel.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted drafting, reporting, and data tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement program plans aligned with project objectives and standards.
• Act as primary procurement contact for internal customers and suppliers.
• Manage multiple procurement programs with scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Build commodity-level procurement plans aligned to schedules and budgets.
• Develop procurement schedules and monitor spend performance.
• Manage contracts, budgets, and delivery across portfolios.
• Lead all phases of procurement lifecycle from sourcing to closeout.
• Evaluate supplier quality, delivery, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities affecting procurement execution.
• Maintain data integrity and cost accounting for portfolios.
• Coach and develop junior staff; identify cost savings opportunities.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline sourcing, reporting, and automation.
