Job summary

Treehouse Partners, a premier lighting manufacturer, seeks a Senior Procurement Specialist/Planner in Carson, CA. You will own inventory evaluation, forecast maintenance, and material procurement to support monthly production and sales targets, while guiding and mentoring junior buyers and planners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's a plus; APICS certifications are a plus.
• 5–7 years experience in supply/demand planning or related field.
• Proficient with ERP planning systems and Demand Solutions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring other buyers/planners desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of buying and planning activity within a dynamic team.
• Create, release, and manage purchase orders to meet production and sales schedules.
• Coordinate with suppliers on forecast updates and delivery expectations; assist with negotiation as needed.
• Review supplier quotations, bids, and award decisions.
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing forecasts to meet service targets.
• Ensure ERP data accuracy for material planning and supply requirements.
• Review MRP plans and execute supply strategies for materials.
• Collaborate with finance to identify slow-moving inventory and turnover.
• Contribute to demand planning within S&OP process and forecast alignment.
• Support product transitions and lifecycle activities across teams.
• Investigate backorders, stockouts, and delivery performance; conduct root-cause analyses.
• Lead cost-reduction and productivity programs, including alternate sourcing.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other Buyers and Planners.
• Complete special projects as assigned by Purchasing leadership.
