Job summary

Clayco in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist with 8+ years of field procurement experience across commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects. You will own cost tracking, reconcile subcontract values, and build cost data to support buyouts.

The role emphasizes partnering with field teams, managing subcontracts from bid to closeout, and driving value through standard processes. Travel nationwide is required and strong negotiation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; CCM/CPP/CPSM a plus.
• Direct, hands-on experience in procurement, estimating, or construction management on large-scale projects.
• Experience managing subcontracts through full execution and cost management including buyout, GMP, and change events.
• Proficiency with WBS-format bid leveling, drawings, and subcontract exhibits.

Responsibilities

• Own cost tracking from bid through subcontract execution and maintain a live project budget view.
• Reconcile subcontract values against GMP; communicate variances early.
• Build and maintain cost basis files with rates, allowances, and rationales.
• Manage cost-to-complete tracking and flag overruns.
• Lead submission of complete bid packages and ensure proper flowdowns and insurance.
