Job summary

Georgia State University is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to manage procurement activities and support end-users with purchasing concerns on campus. The role uses Jaggaer and PeopleSoft to process requisitions and purchase orders, while streamlining processes and acting for the Director in their absence.

The candidate will coordinate bid documents, evaluate proposals, administer contracts, and maintain vendor relationships to ensure best value and compliance for the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and Jaggaer.
• GCPA and GCPM Certifications offered by DOAS State Purchasing.
• Efficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with departments to develop and prepare bid documents for procurement solicitations.
• Prepares, issues, evaluates, and awards complex RFPs to obtain services and/or equipment.
• Perform site visits and pre-bid meetings for bid solicitations.
• Coordinate evaluation committee efforts and recommend contract awards.
• Negotiate contracts to ensure advantageous terms for the University.
• Administer contracts, renewals, extensions, and assessments annually.
• Monitor delivery of purchased goods and services.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Panthermart (Jaggaer) and train staff.
