Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher plus 24 semester hours in business-related fields.
• CAT-II or equivalent course from another agency; 24 hours of Program Management training.
• Successful completion of Level III Contracting Officer Certification within nine months.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive contracting activities and advise on procurement policies.
• Draft memoranda and policy papers pertaining to contracting policies.
• Prepare briefings to senior managers on procurement topics.
• Provide sound advice to subordinates, program managers, executives and directors on contracting matters.
• Determine contracting methods, instruments and acquisition strategies.
• Monitor performance of long-term contracts and manage with multiple partners.
• Apply FAR principles to select acquisition approaches and ensure contractor responsibility.
