Job description

Overview

The Senior Procurement Category Manager supports National Debt Relief’s Procurement and Marketing teams with critical initiatives including contract reviews, supporting Requests for Proposal (RFPs)/market research/analysis, process improvements, and Procurement system updates/improvements. The goal of these initiatives is to gather real total cost of ownership (TCO) savings and drive process efficiencies. (FLSA).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and drive the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process across various commodities with detailed external supply market analysis, internal demand assessment, sophisticated RFP analysis with detailed financial modeling, and supplier evaluation scorecards
  • Develop, lead, and implement category plans for the marketing team to achieve intended business objectives. This includes in-depth assessment of current and future business needs, supplier market intelligence, and identification of strategic sourcing and process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead strategy and execution of various third-party marketing agreements
  • Support development of procurement processes and procedures between all partners
  • Gather direct savings on assigned categories by working with Procurement leadership to build sourcing strategies which enable cost reduction while ensuring that user needs for the assigned categories are met
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations summarizing recommendations for leadership
  • Lead complex contract negotiations with strategic suppliers in collaboration with Legal, Procurement leadership, and relevant departments; includes drafting and redlining commercial terms aligned with risk and compliance standards.
  • Lead business relationships with key external suppliers including routine improvements to agreements, communication of demand/volume changes, updating contracts and sharing end-user feedback
  • Maintain and develop relationships with internal partners including Department Heads, Senior Leadership, Legal, IT Security, and more
  • Develop knowledge and expertise in multiple categories as needed
  • Develop & maintain relationships with internal and external partners
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree business, finance, supply chain preferred but not required
  • 7 years’ experience in an indirect procurement role with a marketing focus (non-hardware)

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract terms, negotiation tactics, and various forms of common marketing agreements
  • Demonstrated understanding of Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain and/or Finance verbiage and common business practices
  • Strong verbal communication and people skills, with the ability to communicate with senior leadership positions internally and externally
  • Proven track record of having a competitive spirit
  • Strategic problem solver with analytical approach.
  • Experience using Zip, Sage Procurement,Finance platforms preferred.

  • Available for full-time position, overtime eligible if classified non-exempt.
Compensation Information
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $107,500 to $130,000 annually.
