Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a division of RTX, is seeking a Supplier Order Book Management professional in Troy, Ohio. You will manage supplier orders, resolve invoice queries, and provide critical updates to stakeholders to support on-time delivery.

The role collaborates with Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Programs to resolve supply chain issues, mitigate risks, and drive cost and schedule performance. Travel ~10% domestically and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• University degree and minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience with FAR/DFAR flow‑downs is preferred.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Supply Chain experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Order book management for a multitude of suppliers; raise & amend purchase/scheduled orders.
• Resolve invoice queries and issue RFQs.
• Provide critical updates and delivery status to key internal stakeholders through meetings and escalation files.
• Engage with Finance, Engineering, Operations, Programs to ensure timely resolution of supply chain issues.
• Keep escalation files updated with current information for stakeholder action.
• Review personal internal metrics to analyze and take action.
• Assist the Account Manager on account reviews and projects related to suppliers.
• Proactively mitigate and minimize supply chain risks to prevent critical line stops.
• Work with NPI teams and engineering to identify new requirements and amendments quickly and provide supply solutions for project timelines.
• Collaborate with account managers and commodity managers on supplier strategy aligned with business requirements.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage costs to support commodity strategy, business financial performance, and cost‑reduction targets.
• Facilitate stakeholder reviews and action outcomes supporting change management and transfer programs.
• Understand supplier sub‑cons and sub‑suppliers to follow the production path and assist in improvements.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
