RTX's Collins Aerospace facility in Troy, Ohio seeks a Principal Specialist Procurement to lead and optimize the supply chain, manage SAP purchasing processes, RFQ/RFP, and drive lean/six-sigma initiatives.

The role requires a university degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years, plus strong supplier negotiation skills and experience with SAP and MRP. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• University degree (or equivalent experience) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience with purchasing and supplier negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead indirect and direct purchasing for a large manufacturing site.
• Procure materials, supplies, and services to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Manage and perform all purchase order processes using the SAP system.
• Research, interview, monitor, and evaluate suppliers for quality, delivery, total cost, and service.
• Execute all functions of RFQ and RFP processes.
• Develop, implement, and monitor lean/six-sigma purchasing procedures and policies.
• Train personnel as necessary.
• Drive value engineering efforts with key suppliers.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing reports, records, files, and related material.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing so vendors are paid correctly.
