Job Description

A Senior Processor supports loan applicants, loan officers, underwriters, and appropriate third parties by ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of mortgage loans. The processor reviews, verifies, and completes the collection of documentation to prepare loan applications for underwriting decisions. Senior level processors handle the widest variety of loan applicants and applications with minimal supervision or guidance.

• Documentation (Review and Verification) – Review each loan file to verify documents are present, accurate, and compliant, satisfying DU requirements and calculating income prior to underwriting submission.
• Advanced Processing – Master the process for conventional, FHA, VA, fixed, ARM, jumbo, multiple transactions, refinance, purchase, and Texas 50(a)(6) loan types; property types (primary, secondary, investment); and income types (W2, retired, self-employed) with minimal supervision.
• Communication (Internal and External) – Accurately inform applicants, loan officers, underwriters, or third parties about loan status and issue resolution.
• Computer Skills – Accurately enter loan application data into the computerized loan processing system and conduct online research.
• Closing Support – Assist other departments in preparing loan closings, informing parties of final approval, and performing related tasks.
• Deadlines – Consistently meet tight underwriting and closing deadlines.
• Compliance – Meet rules, obligations, timelines, and deadlines to comply with company policy, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs, and state and federal law.
