Job summary

Deer Park Refining Limited Partnership (DPRLP) seeks a Manager, Process Technology to lead the Deer Park PTOS team of six engineers, delivering process excellence across distillation, coking, hydroprocessing and more. The role emphasizes strategic guidance, resource planning, and high-performance culture.

The incumbent will partner with Process Engineering Managers, support operations, manage external resources, and drive non-capex optimization while ensuring process safety and environmental

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience supporting refinery and/or chemical processes.
• Expertise in at least one refining process technology and strong process operations knowledge.
• Direct operations support experience; process design experience a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to coach and adapt leadership style to the team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop six Process Technology Engineers and mentor them in technical leadership.
• Coordinate with Process Engineering Managers to support Operations and manage work plans.
• Build relationships with external technologists for access to industry expertise.
• Support capital project execution with Front-End Development Supervision.
• Drive process safety and Management of Change excellence with technical assurance.
• Oversee process modeling, thermodynamics, and kinetic models for optimization.
• Support environmental calculations and knowledge management documentation as needed.
• Step in as Acting Process Engineering Manager when required.
