Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Senior Technician (Process) to lead front-line packaging operations, coordinate line activities, and drive continuous improvement.

You will resolve process and product quality issues, ensure accurate production documentation, and collaborate with maintenance, QA, and engineering to minimize downtime. The role requires strong leadership, detailed process knowledge, and the ability to make timely corrective actions under pressure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in a GMP manufacturing facility.
• Minimum 3 years leadership in a GMP manufacturing or packaging setting.
• Robust understanding of cGMP requirements for manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability with computerized systems (SAP, MES).
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience with batch record execution and good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule adherence.
• Act as process SME for assigned operations (TOCS, Re-packaging, Batch Notes).
• Ensure accuracy and flow of critical production information and documentation.
• Perform equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and line clearance tasks.
• Support quality investigations, CAPAs, and deviations as needed.
• Provide SAP/MES operational support and cross-functional collaboration.
