Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Process Support Engineer III to guide products through their lifecycle, from concept to qualification.

You will provide high-visibility customer support via on-site installations, system diagnoses, and service and repair of complex equipment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Semiconductor Capital Equipment and a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM; 3+ years in Applications or Process Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Semiconductor Capital Equipment or similar high-tech industry.
• 3+ years’ experience in Applications or Process Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between customer and Business Unit to understand issues and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate with customer to optimize tool performance to meet process and integration needs.
• Check and approve operational quality of system equipment and instruct on operation/maintenance.
• Provide on-site installation support and oversee diagnoses, troubleshooting, service and repair.
• Work across technologies such as CVD, ALD, plasma etch, and PVD with DOE-driven experiments.
