Job summary

Applied Materials in Manassas, VA is seeking a Process Support Engineer to guide products from concept to qualification. You will provide high-visibility customer support through on-site installations, system diagnoses, and repair of complex equipment.

The role collaborates with R&D to develop advanced processes for semiconductor manufacturing and to run DOEs. The team works across chem vapor deposition, atomic layer deposition, plasma RIE, physical vapor deposition, anneal and implant

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Semiconductor Capital Equipment or similar high-tech industry.
• Preferred 3+ years in Applications or Process Engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Liaises between the customer and the Business Unit for assigned projects, ensuring clear understanding of issues and delivery of solutions.
• Works with customers to optimize tool performance to meet process and integration requirements.
• Checks and approves operational quality of system equipment; instructs customers in operation and maintenance.
