Job summary

Westlake is seeking a senior specialist to coordinate site Process Safety Management and risk management programs at the Plaquemine facility. You will develop corporate PSM procedures and assist site teams to advance safety performance.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, CSP preferred, and extensive experience in chemicals safety and auditing, with a focus on continuous improvement and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering, or related field.
• CSP certification preferred.
• 8+ years in plant/ division Health & Safety in chemicals.
• Experience with process safety management and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site PSM and risk management programs.
• Develop and implement corporate level PSM programs and procedures.
• Assist site management with PSM efforts.
• Lead training for compliance and improvement in PSM areas.
• Monitor and revise PSM and RMP programs to meet OSHA/EPA/DEQ requirements.
• Manage PSM, RMP, and insurance audits for the Plaquemine facility.
• Provide technical guidance on regulatory compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders to address community and employee needs.
