Job summary

SpaceX Bastrop seeks a Lead Process Safety Engineer to establish safety parameters across advanced chemical systems and manufacturing processes, collaborating with a fast-paced EHS team. You will conduct PHAs, FAT/SAT, implement PSSRs, and develop a Process Safety Management program to ensure compliance with pillars of PSM and related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in process safety or chemical engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience with design and commissioning chemical systems.
• Preferred: Master’s in chemical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and recommend risk controls.
• Perform FAT/SAT and risk assessments on complex equipment.
• Implement and validate PSSRs and a Process Safety Management program.
