Job summary

United Consulting Hub, Inc. in Maryland seeks a hands-on Process & Instrumentation Supervisor to oversee instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance within a GMP-regulated biotech manufacturing site.

You will manage technicians and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Utilities to ensure equipment reliability. The role requires experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS/HMI, bioreactor/fermenter equipment, clean utilities, and participation in IQ/OQ/PQ, CAPA, and audits.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in process instrumentation, calibration, and equipment maintenance within pharmaceutical, biologics, or biotechnology manufacturing.
Knowledge of GMP requirements, instrumentation systems, process automation, and clean utilities.
Experience supervising technicians and coordinating maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily process instrumentation, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Oversee maintenance of bioreactors, fermenters, chromatography skids, CIP/SIP equipment.
Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH, DO, flow, and conductivity.
Lead installation, calibration, loop checks, and testing of sensors and control valves.
Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems, alarms, interlocks, and control loops.
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and calibration activities.
Support qualification documentation IQ/OQ/PQ, commissioning, and performance testing.
Coordinate with OEMs, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Utilities teams.
