Job summary

Manus Augusta BioFacility seeks a Senior Process Controls Engineer to lead automation, instrumentation, and control system projects across manufacturing operations. You will mentor junior staff, troubleshoot advanced control issues, and partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS to deliver safe, compliant automation solutions.

The role covers design through commissioning, with oversight of capital projects, process optimization, and continuous improvement in a bioprocess

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or related).
5–7 years of progressive experience in process controls or automation engineering in a manufacturing environment (biotech/pharma/chemicals preferred).
5–7 years of project management responsibilities.
Hands-on expertise with PLC/DCS platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell).
Experience leading capital projects, including scope, cost estimation, and commissioning.
Strong knowledge of process instrumentation and control loop tuning.
Familiarity with GMP, regulatory compliance, and documentation practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience RCA investigations and implementing CAPA.

Responsibilities

Serve as site SME for process control systems; provide guidance to engineering and operations teams.
Lead design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of complex control systems; ensure integration with upstream/downstream operations.
Develop and enforce site-wide standards for control architecture, programming conventions, and documentation.
Lead RCA investigations and drive permanent CAPA implementations.
