Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years managing manufacturing or chemical process operations for wood/plastic composites or extrusion.
• Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Plastics processing or extrusion experience preferred.
• Formal problem-solving training such as Kepner-Tregoe or Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes and procedures for plant equipment in wood/plastic composites manufacturing; establish operating parameters with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical assistance to production supervisors, technicians, and maintenance to optimize plant equipment operation.
• Ensure proper operation of manufacturing lines and coordinate repair/replacement of equipment as needed.
• Manage die repair and development.
• Communicate project and process status with weekly reports to Site Technical Manager.
• Recommend capital projects based on cost-benefit analyses and coordinate with other departments.
